"Automatic update function added" to 09/29/2022 firmware for GC-Z4Gb2 others

The firmware description for the 10/11/22 firmware update for the GC-A4Gb2, GC-Z4Gb2, & a few other cameras says "Automatic update function added".  Does anyone know more about what this means?  Thanks, Bob Kepple

    I'm not exactly sure but I saw I had three cameras last night that showed there was an update and all three updated successfully and sent me the photo after it was complete with the U on it.

    John, thanks for the info.

    If it means that OTA updates will automatically take place, I see that as a problem not a feature.  I have 20+ GoCam/GoLive cameras for security and fence-monitoring at a farm about 300 miles away that I visit every 3 or 4 weeks.  My procedure has been to hold off on doing OTA updates until I am on-site in case I need in-person access to a camera if/when an OTA update fails and shuts down the camera (and it does happen).  Is there someone I can contact to find out exactly what will happen if I install that update?

    I don't think that's what it is but I'm not positive. I'm trying to find out myself

    Hi John,

    Last night I discovered that that this firmware update had been removed from the website that the you-need-to-update notice had disappeared from all my A4Gb2 and Z4Gb2 cameras in the phone app.  Thoughts?

    It was causing some glitches so it was removed to be adjusted

    So what that feature is is when you turn the camera on and it initializes it will look and see if there is an update available. If there is it will ask you if you want it to perform an OTA update.
