Pics on app won't load

Daily there are pictures that are sent to the app but only appear black. The pics will not load. Is this an overloaded server issue at Spartan?

    That is usually poor signal to your cellphone. I get that if my phone is on wifi that isn't strong or believe it or not when my phone is showing 5g.

    I am also having the trouble when using Wi-Fi. It seems to be better or worse at different times of the day

    See my recent post "failure to update pics in Android app". Seems related. Pics arrive by email but not showing in app. Reinstall may fix it for a while. Not clear that the programmers are aware or working on it.

    There are new versions of the app in beta so if this is a problem with Android beta, then it’s being worked on. If in production of either iOS or Android, it’s not being worked on in those versions of the app because those are being replaced.

    When that happens, I reboot my cell phone, power off then back on.  Usually clears up the download problem.

    I’ll uninstall now then reinstall see if it clears up the problem.

    I have 8 4g cameras. The take a picture now function is nowhere on the app.
    That I can see.

    That is not  on the GoCam 4g cameras, that was only on the old 3g cameras and is now available on the Golive 1&2

    I did not know it’s been available. I actually bought 2 different brand cameras because it has that function
    I like to use it for weather & tresspassers. Also to watch meadows & fields to check for game they came in but did not come by the cameras.

    Unfortunately there’s no workaround for what you want to do. If you were wanting it to be sure that a camera in a low traffic area is working, you could set scheduled events to get photos but that’s not your situation.

    For the weather you could set the scheduled events to send you a picture at certain times of the day. For checking a field or meadow I use start/stop times and set the camera to send me a time lapse picture every 10 minutes for the last hour of daylight each day.

    Johnny’s right about event photos for weather and time lapse for food plots.

    I was thinking about trespassers (but you’d have to get lucky with a take photo now to do that) and immediate weather. I use scheduled event photos at 9 AM, 3 PM, and 9 PM for all my cameras so I have some general idea of the weather. If the radar shows a storm, I’ll live stream to see a few seconds of real time action. You have to have a GoLive or GoLive 2 for that.
