Ghost Cam - GC-G4Gb - with external Battery
Just installed an external 12volt battery box to my Ghost camera - (12v-8ah) with the initial voltages being: 13.00v external 3.80v internal. One day later voltages are: 12.85v external 3.54v internal. Camera also has 12 AA lithium batteries installed. My question is: Are these voltages normal? Is the 12v-8ah adequate to keep internal battery charged?
Also I have noticed I am getting continuous pictures at night with no subject or movement.
The letter on info strip is M

Something doesn’t look right. It makes sense for the external to drop because it should be charging the internal. What doesn’t make sense at all is that the internal dropped from 3.8V to 3.54V.
I’ll see if I can find out some more info from someone who knows how these cameras use batteries and report voltage inside and out.
An 8 Ah battery will help but it may not last all that long but a lot will depend on how many pics you are getting and whether a lot of them are night pics. Minimum I run is 18 Ah. I run a motorcycle battery on one.
Here’s some info on the Ghost battery.
