Look into the 3 month plans, they are more cost effective, you also don't need premium credits with the Spartan plans, they are included. There is also a 4g upgrade program if you have a 3g camera so be sure to look into that.

You can still use BAS with the GoCam models, although you will need to get different SIMs. The ones that ship with the camera work only with Spartan plans. The Ghost and GoLive models don’t have user-accessible SIMs so you can’t swap SIMs for those.

Thanks for the help. My current SIM cards should work right?
    Thanks again.

Maybe, maybe not. I have had some that will and some that won't. If they are really old, they may be locked in to 3G and they will not work with 4G. The only way to know is to try them with a 4G camera's IMEI. You will not be able to just edit a device and swap out the 3G camera IMEI and the 4G camera IMEI. Even though the plan prices are the same and to you and me they are the same (e.g., 4G data for 1 year for $75), to AT&T, one is an LTE plan and one is not.

If your current SIMs won't work, you can buy AT&T prepaid/postpaid bring your own phone or tablet SIMs from Amazon, ebay, Walmart, Target, BestBuy, etc. Make sure you get the standard size ones, not the ones that are nano only.

Thanks again. One more question before I start replacing. Is there a minimum number of signal bars with these 4G units? Occasionally I get 3 but most often 1. And of course that is 3g.

I would be very surprised if you get less than 4 bars, but that's based on my one small area. All my 3G cameras at our camp (remote, horrible signal) have 1 or 2 bars. All my 4G cameras have 5 bars. Once in a while, I'll see 4 on a camera here or there.
