Not able to add a NEW user to share camera in 2023 App Update

In mobile app it seems straight forward to share camera with individuals in Contact List. But I am unable to add a NEW user. Following instructions of Update 2023 KB 

• Tap Add Share User to open up your Spartan contacts list. Tap the +Add New User button to add users via email and select their access type. When you are finished, tap Done.

However after typing in email address I get error "User Does Not Exist"

This error doesn't make sense. First, I can start to type in name and name options in my iPhone Contact list will appear. I select one and it autopopulates the email. So I am not typing in email wrong. Second, I'm adding a new user with a new email - to what does this email not exist? It will exist once Spartan adds it... so I'm a bit stuck here. 

New 2023 UI so this may be a bug - looking for work around or any guidance here.

  Get your user to install the app and create their Spartan account first. It’s a known issue and will be fixed but I’m not sure when.
