The internal battery is dead. Leave it turned off for several hours or overnight to charge. If you are using lithium batteries, you may need to change them.

I have put brand new batteries in the camera. The screen shot shown is the last status report I was able to receive. Everytime I try to do a new status report it times out.

Timing out means that the camera hasn't contacted the server within 24 hours.

Have you left the camera off for several hours with the new batteries in it so the internal battery can recharge?

Once you are able to get the camera to come up, you definitely want to update the firmware and doing it manually is probably better than doing it over the air (no power required to download the file).

Yes the camera has been off since last night. When I turned it on this morning it's still doing the same thing. It is also not uploading any new status reports to the app even when requested. I have updated the firmware to my SD card from the spartan app and inserted it into the camera already as well.

If it’s sticking on the home screen, it is not getting online to get the command to send a status report or the command to format the SD card and you can’t do either of those things from the camera because you aren’t getting to the screen where you can access the camera menus so you can format the SD card manually. You also wan’t update the FW manually without being able to get to the camera menu unless you used the Playback button method.

If it’s sticking on the home screen, the firmware update probably didn’t work but there’s no way to tell until either the camera comes up and contacts the server or it comes up and you can check the information screen.

Have you tried a different SD card?

I meant that I put the SD card into my laptop and downloaded the most recent firmware from the spartan website. I have also tried a different SD card. I'll try calling support Monday

Okay, but putting the firmware on the SD card won’t update the firmware in the camera unless you are able to get to the menu and choose to update the FW or you use the Playback button method. It sounds like you aren’t able to get to that point because your camera is not booting to the home screen.

Okay, gotcha. And yes I cannot get to the menu screen. I have not tried the playback button method yet. Not quite sure how to do that.

The instructions are on the bottom of the page where you downloaded the FW. You’ll turn your camera On rather than to Setup.

Okay, but my camera is the go live model and does not have a setup option on the switch. It is just on and off

    From my previous comment:

You’ll turn your camera On rather than to Setup.
