Please let us know if it happens again. I know there was a firmware update that would put a picture in a future date, that was intentional to correct an issue but it should have just been the U picture. If it continues and you have an Apple device just uninstall and reinstall the app.

Thanks for the reply. I became confused about what was happening because apparently I have not been paying close attention to my pictures. I looked back at the photos on my Android app and found that issues started on July 24th. When I compare the photos in the app with what is on the website there are differences. My last scheduled photo on the app is 18:00,on the web page there are two additional scheduled photos at 19:00 and 20:00. The two missing photos on the app are black squares that when tapped on show the correct date and but no photo. On July 25th there are some photos and some black photos that all show the appropriate date and time. All photos show on the web page. On July 26th photos were visible with correct dates and times until the photo at 18:00. The next photo scheduled was 19:00 on July 26th. All of the information in the photo was correct but it was placed in the July 27th folder with a date of Jul 27,2023 and a time of 02:00. Since that photo all dates and times are off by 7 hours (UTC 0) in the library folders not the photos, E,S or M, themselves. Since my time zone is set for UTC -7 it appears that the app is not honoring the time zone setting. The app was last updated on 8/1 to version 4.0.16, Android is13/33 and phone is Pixel 5a.

Try updating the camera settings and also follow the steps below on your phone.

Go into the phone settings (not the app) and go to apps and the Spartan app. Click on storage and you'll see a box to click to clear the cache and another to clear the data/storage, clear both of those and then uninstall and reinstall the app. Before the app opens clear the cache and data/storage again and then open the app and log in. You should be good to go now.

Followed the instructions as stated above. When I first sign in everything looks good. When I go to settings and go back to the library, the photos after 16:00 today are back in a folder for tomorrow!?

    Hi John,
Any update on this issue. There has been one update to the app but it still is ignoring time zone setting.
The only new observation I have follows. If I open the app immediately after a notification the photo is in a new folder with the correct date. So new folder with current date and just the last photo. The next folder down is tomorrow's day with two photos from current date. Next folder down is current date and all current date photos taken at or before 4pm local time. If I return to the camera page then go back into the library page the single photo is now in tomorrow's folder. The second current date folder is gone. 🤔

I just want to verify that the actual photos have the correct date on them and they are just going into a folder that has the wrong date?

I would add a screenshot but I don't see any way to do it.
Yes, the time and date are correct for the current date and time. I just noticed that at the top of the photo screen page the date is tomorrow and the time is UTC.
    Photo date 8/27/2023 18:00:02
Date at the top of the screen page is Aug 28, 2023 01:00
All of photo screen pages show the 7 hour difference at the top. I am in Pacific time - 7 hrs.

OK, I will follow up with tech, I just wanted to be sure what exactly was going on. In the future if you put your phone in desktop mode you should be able to see the insert image icon to post a picture/screenshot.

So you received that picture yesterday?

Android app is showing server time (UCT 0). It’s 5 hours earlier for Central time zone, so 7 hours earlier for Pacific. Known issue. Your pictures have the wrong time, it’s just that they’re being shown organized by server time.

Hi Elizabeth, I will be sending two photos from my phone in the next comment after this comment. One shows the correct time in the photo and the top of the page the next one shows the correct time in the photo and not correct at the top of the photo screen page. Something changed between one photo and the next. Until that moment both times matched. Unfortunately I cannot go any further back as the app auto deletes photos after 30 days.

So....am I the only one experiencing this issue? There was update to V 4.0.16 but the symptom did not change.

Trying to troubleshoot a similar issue and ended up here. I'm on an Android. Tonight I noticed some pics are showing 9/29 and it's only 9 PM EST on the 28th.

Ive also noticed pics on multiple cams are not in order on the app. Pics taken at 5pm in daylight are showing up first on the app even though 9pm pics (4 hours later) are coming in. After manually going thru the pics and reopening that cam in the app it reorganizes "sometimes".

    Any updates?
