Requested an HD image recently and it doesn't look any better than the standard, small, thumbnail image. The "HD" is present on the thumbnail as well. Is this another current issue?

  iOS or Android? Have you looked on the portal (my.spartancamera.com, Camera Management)?

  Sometimes it’s to tell the difference on a phone. I am pretty sure than a much older version of the iOS app didn’t handle HD photos correctly but I’m pretty sure that’s been fixed for a while.

  It’s working as it should on the iPad I tried it on and on my Android phone.
