Is the original Spartan Go Cam compatible with the solar panel?

I was looking for a solar panel for my spartan cameras and found the one from spartan, but in the description it mentions something about the internal rechargeable battery. Is this referring to any rechargeable AA battery or is this something that comes standard in the newer cameras? Do I need to have the external battery box in order to utilize the solar panel? The model number of my cameras is GC-U4Gb2. I am sure there are several threads asking this question, but I value my time and simply don't have enough of it to dedicate to searching the forum. Thanks for any input.

The Gocams don't have the internal battery so you need the panel with the battery box. The Ghost and GoLives have the internal rechargeable battery

Would I still need rechargeable batteries or does it run exclusively on the external battery and then switch to the internal batteries if the solar panel cannot keep up with the charge? Does the panel need full sun to charge or will it work in the woods where it'll see irregular sun?

The panel will work with partial sun and you don't need rechargeable batteries in the camera
