FW Update

Im trying to update the FW on my GC-V4Gi-KT.

I looked on your website and saw updates for many other models but don't see one for this particular camera. 

I have 11 spartan cameras and some of them are getting older. I hope this isn't one of those instances where they discontinue support for a particular item to force you to buy a new one. These cameras have been great and this particular camera has been in the woods for 6 years with a solar panel and battery box and I have never had to touch it.

    On the app does it say it needs an update or that it's up to date?

    It says up to date but it’s from 2018/09/07

    The original issue is that it stopped sending pics about 8 months ago. I was just now able to retrieve the camera and it will not connect to cellular. I thought I would start with a FW update. Worked on several other cameras that were not working.

    If it says up to date then there's nothing newer. I have a V4gb with that same 2018 firmware. Have you tried defaulting the camera or tried a different SD card?

    I did default it and now the imei is gone. Also. I tried a new Sandisk class 10 and it still will not connect

    Do you have an old blue SanDisk class 4 to try? Maybe try a different antenna if you have one.

    I just put an antenna on it from a known working camera. It just says searching network, beeps every 30-45 seconds and won’t connect.

    I don’t have an old class 4. Can you still buy those?

    Yes you can. I would try any that you have floating around. Those cameras are very picky about SD cards. Make sure that you format it in the camera.

    Ok. Thank you John. And you think that can cause it to not connect to cellular?
