icon on lower left of photo, what is it?

One of 8 cameras will send only one pic, will not hold new settings and the pics from that camera have an icon on the lower left hand side of the photo.   What's going on?

  Your SD card is bad or needs to be formatted. When that happens the camera switches to photo only so that it will keep sending at least a picture and not stop completely.

  many thanks.  Totally logical.   Will advise if that does not resolve.
