You can try going into the cameras menu and default the camera. It sounds to me like the internal battery might be low and needs time to charge up. Did the camera send a status report and if it did what is the internal battery voltage?

Status reports were sent- the last one shows internal voltage of 3.68. External is 9.11.

I’ll try to default the camera and test again.

Camera was set to default and continues to exhibit the same behavior. The last status report shows an internal voltage of 3.76.

That internal is very low, at 3.76 it should be getting to the point of being ok if that's the issue. Is it still doing the same thing? If so can you screenshot the status report from the app and post it here. It might take two reports to get all the info from the top of the status report to the SD card info at the bottom. You'll probably have to set your phone to desktop mode to see the insert image icon on this forum.

Camera is still exhibiting the same symptoms.  Arm it and when it takes a photo continues to go into the initializing/signal search with the blinking motion indicicator lights.

I would try a manual firmware update

Firmware update manually helped for a few days and we’re back to the same trouble again.

    Any further advice?

I would email support@spartancamera.com, I just heard of someone else with this issue and the problem was a stuck button on the keypad.
