Water infiltration issues?
I bought 9 spartan eclipse cameras in June of 2023 and have deployed them in the field mounted using cable up off the ground, etc. I mostly went with this model due to the programming features and timelapse capabilities.
Needless to say, since June, 3 of the 9 cameras have been infiltrated by rain water. The water got inside the device and rendered them inoperable. One of them has severely rusted in the battery compartment. 2 additional cameras that are still in the field are showing water infiltration behind the LCD screen and it is only a matter of time before they fail. That is a 55% fail rate under normal operating conditions mounted using proper mounting hardware in less than 8 months.
Anyone else have problems with rain just eating these things alive?
I was very surprised, I have had much cheaper cameras fair much better.
