Have you tried going into the camera menu and defaulting the camera and formatting the SD card? Can you post a screen shot of the most recent status report, make sure it includes all the info from the top of the report to the SD card info at the bottom. You might have to set your phone to desktop mode in order to see the insert image icon here. Any chance the antenna got damaged?

I was having a similar problem with a brand new camera. Finally figured out the IMEI number registered either the camera was not the same as the one inside the camera. The last four digits were off. I know I entered the number correctly when setting up. I finally received to delete the camera, but to do that I had to cancel the data plan for it since I had already set that up. I did that, re-registered my camera, endured the IMEI number was correct that solved the problem. Anyway, check the actual IMEI for your camera vs what it shows in the banner on the camera settings page. If correct then this is not your problem.

Have you tried logging out of the app and back in?

Defaulted the camera AND formatted SD card. NO luck. There are no signal bars in the top left of the screen and still says Network Registration Denied. I have also tried using desktop, app, other phones, etc. Nothing changes. I attempted to request camera status report and it has been over an hour with no completion.

What about the antenna? Any chance it's damaged?

I logged in/out of the app twice. The camera/antenna are new out of the box. Getting it setup at my home before taking it out to my property. It takes pictures and videos when motion is detected and sends the pictures to my app. The videos will show up upon request. I have the camera placed on an outside balcony. The status report shows a “Good” signal with a value of 39. The app shows the signal at 4 out of 5 bars. The “Live” button for this camera is still gray. I have another camera (GL-ALTEbalso a go live installed in my property as of Jan this yr. The Live function had always worked great. My brand new camera, the problem camera, is a GL-A6Eb. I successfully registered the new camera on my existing data plan. I received the invoice and receipt for the addition.

If it's sending pictures and videos then the data plan is fine. Go into the camera menu and there should be a place to register the live stream, try that and see if it registers or if it gives a message that it's already registered. How long ago did you set up the camera?

I set the camera up yesterday, 5/25/24. On the camera menu, using the Up Arrow key, I scrolled until in the upper right corner of the camera screen it said Live Stream. I pressed the Ok button. A message came on the camera screen that said “Live Stream Inializing. Please wait.” After a 60-90 secs or so, the camera beeps and the message goes away. I have no idea if the camera is Live Streaming. It may be, since I’m not getting any pictures sent to the app. The app still shows the Live option in gray. When I press it, it still gives me the error msg, Live streaming is currently unavailable”.

I’m not sure where in the camera menu I should go to see if the Live Srream is registered. Would this be in the camera itself or in the app?

Ok, I figured out where to go on the menu. When I put in the IMEI number, I get a msg under the IMEI that the camera is already in an active subscription plan

Also, I have on multiple occasions successfully updated the camera settings from the app.

Usually if you get status reports but no pictures then you have an SD card problem

I’m still getting pictures with 30 sec videos. I have the Photo + Video option active in camera settings. The SD card is brand new. I formatted it through the app. I’ll try that again.

Could the problem be that the live stream
is only active with an “Excellent” signal strength? My other camera, which is mounted on a tree at my property always has an Excellent signal strength (54+). The best I could get setting up the second camera in my home was a Good signal strength (~32-36) and that was outside the home on an upstairs balcony. We use WiFi calling in our home due to poor signal strength.

Can you take a screen shot of the status report and post it? It might take two screen shots to get it all from the top of the report to the SD card info at the bottom. You also might need to set your phone to desktop mode in order to see the insert image icon.

You will note signal on this status report is weak. This status report came over after I had taken the camera back into my house which has a weak AT&T signal.  During previous troubleshooting, as noted earlier, I had the camera out on an upstairs balcony where I was getting a Fair to Good signal, but Live was still not working.

The internal voltage is very low. What batteries/power are you using?

Just forwarded top half of status report from my other camera.  It is a model GL-ALTEb.  It is located on my property.  Internal voltage looks similar to my new camera.  In any event, my new camera, the GL-A6Eb has new Duracell AA batteries installed yesterday.  I just tested each of the 12 batteries with my voltmeter.  They each showed 1.43 to 1.45 volts.  Also, I was using the solar panel I purchased with the camera while testing and troubleshooting earlier today.  I do see the external voltage is lower, of course the status report for the GL-A6Eb was taken after I had disconnected the solar panel.

This picture taken due to motion detection, likely the waving US flag, while I had the camera on the upstairs outside balcony.  You can see the solar panel in the foreground.  It was sunny and hot.  You can see the SLR AA5  and LI5 indicators at the bottom of the picture showing good power.  during this time the Live Stream function was not working, continued to be gray in the app.

I just received a new status report from my GL-ALTEb camera.  Since it is now dark, the internal voltage is 3.95 and the external voltage is 9.73.  The Live function still works and I successfully woke up the camera and got a live shot.  Interesting enough, just before I did the above I noticed the Live button for the GL-A6Eb camera had actually turned green.  I thought Yay! So I tapped it and it went into the Waking Up the Cameral mode.  Unfortunately, it failed to wake up the camera and the Live button is back to gray.  Tomorrow I will reconnect the solar panel and leave the solar panel in the sun for several hours or longer to see if that helps.

I just took this on-demand photo with my GL-ALTEb camera using the Take Photo Now menu item under Camera Settings/Camera Options.  The Take Photo Now option does not appear on Camera Settings/Camera Options for the new GL-A6Eb camera.  Is that because the Live function is not available or what?

So now I am noticing that the LIve button for the GL-ALTEb camera is flickering off and on (green/gray).  When it turns gray, the Take Photo Now option on the Camera Settings/Camera Options page does go away.  Good to get that figured out.  The Live button not working with the GL-A6Eb camera could very well be a power issue.  I will test tomorrow by reconnecting the solar panel to the camera and setting the panel in the direct sunlight for several hours or more as I previously noted.

Does that make sense to you, John?
