Att plan
I have two ATT GC-ATTxb cameras using buy a session plan $25/90 days/2 G. Just got an E-mail saying I only have 20% left which is 1.63GB of 2GB. 57 of 90 days. I don't know why it is using so many GB with the one camera only taking about 1000 pics a month and the other takes about 4000 a month but both have used the same amount of data. Cameras are set for pics only with 30 second intervals and no pending requests. 8mp and large thumbnails. Any Ideas? They have never used this much data before.

Are you requesting any HD photos?
Your post is a little bit confusing because you mention that both cameras have used the same amount of data, with one taking 1000 pics a month and the other taking about 4000 pics a month, but you said you got one email. Can you please clarify?
Also, the cameras’ native resolution is 5 MP so there’s not a lot of reason to set them to 8 MP. It doesn’t hurt, but the extra pixels are “made up”.

Have not requested any HD pics. I did get only one Email for the one camera taking the 4000 a month pics but I checked the other camera when I was on the Buy a session site and it is about the same with 1.59 GB of 2.00 GB 20% used. Both plans purchased on the same day. I was just back on the site and the one camera (4000 pics a month) has now dropped to 18%.

Only the large thumbnail part matters. You didn’t request any HD pics so the 8 MP part doesn’t matter. It looks like a daytime 1280 * 960 thumbnail is about 200K, night pics about 150K, so about 5 day pics in a MB, and about 5000 in a GB. That’s just ballpark.
Do you really need pics every minute or two? (Maybe you do.)
