Settings screen will light up but don’t have anything on it !

  What camera model? I would also try a different memory card or even no card at all to see if it makes a difference.

  Reminder in the SD card. Name brand, standard size (not micro in an adapter), class 10 (not 4), 32 G or less capacity.
