    Even though the SD card has been working fine I would try a new one, they can go bad. Make sure it's a class 10 and no larger then 32gb. I prefer 16gb cards.

    Have you tried defaulting the camera in the settings and then turning it off and back on?

    thanks for your response, yes, done that multiple times.  Verizon has run the "wire tests" and said it is a camera issue

    Look at the information screen on the camera and see if the IMEI number matches the one on the sticker on the camera.

    the IMEI number is blank on the information page, I think I read that happens when you default the camera.  is there a way to type it in?

    something it keeps doing is when I register the camera, it completes, but then none of the buttons will work.  is that normal?

    I have to completely shut it off.

    You shouldn't have to register the camera unless you deleted it from your account. Do you have any pending commands in camera management? If so cancel them. If you are trying to do this inside try going outside and defaulting and turning it off and back on.
