What happens when you try and take and send a manual photo when the camera is in set up? What does it say on the screen?

So the camera is in the woods, I wanted to leave it to get pictures. I will go back out tomorrow and try that. Any other things I should try? I assume the take photo and send manually is pretty self explanatory?

Turn the camera to set up and when it finds signal press ok to take a picture and then press ok again to send it. You can also default the camera in it's menu settings and you can try the activation reboot again. After the default turn the camera off and back on.

Ok I will try that. I haven't had issues before, I was thinking that the defaults all got wiped clean when the batteries died, so I planned on checking the "premium" vs "auto" setting as well. I think the newest firmware should have defaulted to premium though.

Will do. What should I be looking for when I send a manual photo? Or does the manual photo force it to just start working again and connect? Anything else I should try when I'm out there?

It won't force it but it will tell you if it was sent or if there's an error. Just watch the screen as it's sending.

Ok, so if there's an error I would have to pull the camera from the woods I assume then.

Also there is a chance that the new memory card might be bad. Is it a class 10 and 32gb or smaller?

New card, 32GB class 10 San disk ultra. Good call, I will bring a new one. It did take a few pictures when I was there and the screen read 3 pictures.
