Using cam with no service

Isn't there a way to just use the gocam as regular cam ,like not  getting pics sent ? Do I just change the setting to not send or whatever? I just do want the camera arching for signal and running the battery down . Or do I just take the sims card out ?

  In the wireless (fourth) tab, first setting, send via to off.
