The Spartan server is not down. I only have one camera sending to text and I got my 9 pm event photo. If you are getting pics to email, then the problem is with your cell phone carrier’s text server.

When those camera won’t send on text messages. The techs have to change the email that sends me my photos has nothing to do with anything I have to do with my cell phone carrier. I can not fix it nor can At&t. It has always been this way If it was something on my end I would fix it. I do not use the app on premium im using auto. I have the GC-Attb go prepay camera that takes codes. I’m sure it will hopefully get fixed that would be nice. Looks like it’s emails for awhile.

I'll pass the information along to tech and they'll look into it. Thank you

It’s AT&T server that is blocking. Nothing you can do, but the cameras are sending pics and the pics are going to the app, email, and text on non-AT&T phones. The only problem is text to AT&T phones.

I am having same problem.  It is going to premium page on the ones set up as premium.  The ones that are auto are sending to the numbers that aren't ATT, but any ATT number is not receiving pics.  Mine started around 1430 yesterday.  My brother got a few last night and my friend w/ ATT received a big pic dump this morning around 555.

Any idea on if this will be resolved? Otherwise I guess I will switch them all to premium and check the website every once in a while.  Only issue is most are hard to reach in a timely manner.

North Mississippi.  I have over 20 ATT cameras out.  They are sending pics to verizon phones, an email address, and to the premium sight.  I'm not an IT guy, but it seems our ATT cell phones are the issue.

Yes, this has happened before. You may start getting pics soon, one other customer just let me know she just started getting pictures again.

If you can use premium and the app it's much more reliable

I'm having the same problem with AT&T. Got a few pictures last night sent to text and some today. Now nothing again. Seems to happen only at night.

I’m getting pictures right now that are current email and text but that doesn’t mean it’s fixed. I do believe it’s a at&t issue that they say isn’t theirs  or it’s a apple issue from the last download update causing problems issues with messaging. I did a lot of changing message settings in my phone turning it on and off force shutting down iPhone. Stuff would load up and come through some after Turing back on. I had one person send me a large voicemail 4 days ago and have never received it so I’m sure this is when it all started.

This seems to happen every couple of months or something. I have 6 cameras 4 Verizon and 2 AT&T and don't receive text pics from any of them, but the pics show up in the app. It usually gets resolved within a few days, but if you are using cameras for security it makes them pretty worthless. I'm a long time subscriber and considering switching.

jacks_john, that's why Spartan suggests using the app, because it's much more reliable. This is not a Spartan created issue, it's something with ATT cell phones. This also happens with other cell cameras, it's not specific to Spartan. I do understand there  are some instances where the app isn't the best option.

So if you run multiple cameras and use some of the cameras for security and others for normal "game cam" type uses, how do you set up the app to only notify you of the pics from the security cams? End users want to know if someone is trespassing on their property (for example), but probably don't want to get notified about every squirrel at the feeder.

You could try setting the auto download to "set per camera" and then just check off the cameras you want downloaded instantly. I'm not exactly sure how the notifications would work. You can also do like you are doing now, use the app for security if that's the most important to you and have the game pics sent though text and/or email. From what I've seen most people want all their pics right away though.

You still get notification sounds from new pics from the other cameras even though the app hasn't downloaded them yet, so this doesn't work.

Any other suggestions? I would think this would be a relatively common issue for people that use the cameras for security *and* for game cams. The way I have it setup now is the delivery options for the security cameras go to an email address which forward that to the phone. This way the incoming texts from them to the phone come into a separate text message than the other cameras. On the game cameras I have the delivery options set directly to the mms addresses for the phones. The end result is a text message stream for the security cameras and a text message stream for the game cameras. I hide the alerts for the text messages from the game cameras, and open the texts and review them periodically. I set the sound for the text messages from the security camera as something unique to distinguish it from the a normal text. It works pretty well with the exception of the periodic outages like this one.

Can you use the app for the security cameras since they are the most important and keep the game cameras like they are now?

I’m running 25 cameras at our camp. Some are for security, some for wildlife, some for both. I only use the app. The security cameras are the first ones on the app, then they’re arranged in location order, with the security/game ones after the security only ones.

Would setting up a separate email address for the game cameras work?

How does the ordering of the cameras in the app affect anything? I can try removing mobile access from the game cameras so they don't show up in the app, and leave the game cameras going to text. I'll try that out. Seems like a bandaid to a functionality problem in the app if it works. Could we add a feature request for this in the app? Specifically - The ability to notify based on the camera. That way you could turn off notifications for game cameras, but still have critical notifications enabled for the security cameras. Camera based notification.

I can tell you that has been and is still being talked about for an app feature.

The ordering in the app means that I just have to look at the first few cameras to see if there’s anything there and ignore the rest for the time being. What works for me might not work for anyone else.

Sure, that's useful for looking through a large amount of pics, but it really doesn't have anything to do with notifications right?

    correct

    >>Right?

Not to me. I'm fine with getting notifications. If I don't have time to , I just glance at the home screen at the first four or five cameras. I can easily see if the notification is for a new photo there. If it's not, I don't worry about it until later.

Even if I discovered an intruder, it would probably take law enforcement at least 30 minutes to get there unless someone was in the area already, which is unlikely. It's a large, very rural county. It takes about 15 minutes to drive the 5.5 miles from the 4-lane highway to our property and 10-12 minutes to drive the 3 miles on the gravel forestry road.

As I said earlier, what works for me may not work for anyone else.
