I am seeing these cameras online for $299ish.  Is this some type of temporary blowout, or is this going to be the standard price range for the cameras going forward?

  That is the MSRP for the current standard 4g camera models. The Gocam Ghost does have a higher MSRP.

  What is the difference in functionality of the Ghost camera.  Where can I find out more on this new model?

  Herd360 has had some Ws available. The W4Gb (“Ghost”) MSRP is right at $410.

  Functionally, the Z4Gb and the W4Gb are the same. They have the same camera parts and modem/radio. The Z is 6V, the W is 12V and the W has a smallish built-in rechargeable battery that is more for power management than for extra power because you’re not going to haul your camera to the house to charge it when the batteries run low. The table that Johnny posted the link to has more differences.
