What is the long term plan for 3G spartan cams?
I’m using 3G blackout cams and have had very good luck with them. I’m considering buying more of the 3G cams but would like to know if they will continue to be supported.

They’ll probably be supported as long as the carriers support them. You’ll be buying old stock or used, though.
The 4G cameras have faster trigger speed, stronger flash, and video capability. The only thing the older 3G cameras do is support real time control, and that’s only some models.

I don't know if you have Verizon or AT&T but Verizon will no longer activate 3g cameras so definitely don't buy a 3g Verizon camera. Verizon has also said they will be turning off their 3g service at the end of this year (2019) so all 3g devices (cameras, phones, watches, house alarms, tablets.....) Will no longer work after the December 31st sunset date. At&t has not given a sunset date yet but it will eventually happen, rumor is 2021 but that's just a rumor at this point.
