Transfer cell number to new camera

That isn’t how it works. You remove the old 3G camera from your data plan and you add the new 4G camera to your data plan. Each camera has an IMEI/MEID and that’s how the network identifies them.

Your new camera will get a different phone number, but that doesn’t really matter because you don’t use the phone numbers with the new cameras.

Oh wow. So I don’t need a phone number from Verizon to receive photos on my iPhone?

You don't need a phone number but you do need to activate the Sim card that came with the new 4g camera. When you call them see if they can just swap the SIM card IMEI numbers, if they can't explain that you got the new camera to replace the other one that stopped working and ask them to waive the activation fee.

    Freckles,

Your camera will have a phone number because every device has one. My wifi hotspot has a phone number but I can’t call it and it can’t call me.

The old cameras didn’t have SIMs. Do talk to Verizon as Johnny suggests and see if they will activate the new camera without an activation fee.
