Ghost vs reg go cam
What is the main difference in the Ghost vs reg go cam (Verizon)? I'm looking at buying another camera ( already have a 3g and LTE models).
Thanks

The comm module and the camera are the same with the two models. The W (Ghost) is 12v, the Z is 6V. The W has a small internal battery which is more for power management than extra power, but you will be able to directly connect a solar panel to it. The W’s setup is done through a wizard on the camera so it’s a bit easier.
MSRP on the W is $410, on the Z is $300. The W is not shipping in quantity but I think Herd 360 has a few.

The ghost has an internal rechargeable battery to help with battery life and better camera performance. (it's not a battery that you are going to charge and run the camera off of) It also has new features and settings that that the previous models don't have (ability to set specific work days of the week) and new features that will be out in the future. It is a 12 volt camera (the others were 6 volt) and you can hook a solar panel directly to the camera. The external power plug is now threaded so critters can not easily unplug the external cable and is also located on the front of the case so you can open the door without having to unplug it. The menu buttons are lit up and there's no more setup position on the switch, you go from off to on, you have time to make the settings changes in the menu and the camera will automatically arm itself after 3 minutes. There is an added threaded insert in the back of the case along with the one on the bottom that has always been there. The battery indicator will let you know if the camera is running off of internal aa's or an external battery and what the power level of those batteries are.
