Is there a service outage?

No issues that I know of. Have you checked your premium credits and your data plans? If your cameras are all in the same area it could be an issue with the cell service there.

Hello test failing means that the camera is not getting online. Definitely check your data plan and your credits. Also, try a different SD card. SD cards can cause these sorts of problems, although that’s less likely than data or credits.

No outages. Using same carrier for remote triggers. Credits fine.

7 cameras all just went quiet.

3 of the cameras are using M2MOne SIMs. CISCO backend shows the SIMs are connected but very little data is being transmitted.

I've been using these cameras for years and never experienced this before.

I have 10 cameras. 16 credits. 3 cameras are on my desk waiting to go out in the field. I turned one on when the 7 deployed cameras went quiet. It gets reception but won't send photos.

I have 3 scheduled status reports and 3 scheduled photos each day from all 10 cameras and they all went dead at 6am this morning.

Since you aren't getting status reports it's probably not credit related, especially since you say you have some. What models are the cameras? I'm thinking it's most likely something with the data plan. How's the cameras firmware? Up to date?

What model cameras? GC-What? From your user name, I’m thinking you are not in the US. I’m not familiar with the SIMs you reference or the CISCO backend. I think you need to talk to real tech support. Johnny and I are familiar with the garden variety US cameras and carriers but nothing international.

I have been getting pictures all day yesterday and all during the night from about 30 cameras. I’m pretty sure there is no widespread server/service outage.

Also just because the camera gets reception doesn't mean the data plan is good, many times there's reception on the Sim for 911 emergency calls but that's it. I'm thinking you are in Australia and it may be the same way there. Like Liz mentioned you should probably call tech support at the office.

    Australian cameras.

Data plans are fine. All on Telstra. Using the same SIMs in the same location as remote trap triggers. Triggers are online and functioning.

All 7 cameras stopped working at the same time.

Turn the camera to set up and let it find signal, press OK to take a picture and then press OK again to send that picture. Then watch and see what it says on the screen.

Please contact real tech support. Johnny and I are test team members. Tech support doesn’t monitor these forums.

I don’t know what service the triggers use, but it may be different than what the cameras use (thinking of the difference between voice and data or data and text, although that may not apply in this case). Actually, the data/text thing may apply. Triggers may work via text, cameras via data?

If you have a camera in hand, you may want to try it on auto to see if it will send photos via text. I don’t t expect there to be any difference because the camera sends via data, but it may be worth a shot.

...and magically they all suddenly spring back to life this morning - scheduled photos at 6am and scheduled reports at 7am.

    I didn't change a thing.

Oh well, at least it is working again - cheers.

I'm sorry I thought you were on the other thread too. Turns out there was something up and Spartan tech fixed it once they found out.
