P.S. - I've got two other cameras out at the same property on AT&T Data Connect plans with 5 bars of cell service, so the AT&T service in the area of the unresponsive camera is definitely still good.

Neil, I've asked someone inside tech to look into that IMEI number, not sure if they are in the office today but I will let you know if I find out anything. If you want to email me your portal log in information I can take a look and see if anything looks out of place. My email is johnny.lockburner@spartancamera.com

Thanks Johnny. I'm at the camera now. It shows no service and says "system busy" when I try any diagnostics or try to re-register. After a moment or two in the setup menus it says "no Sim card, please insert Sim card and restart". The Sim card is installed firmly and I've taken it out and reinstalled multiple times with no change in results. The camera has been taking photos, just not sending.

Try cleaning the Sim card contacts by either rubbing it with a pencil eraser or rubbing it on your jeans. You can also try blowing in the Sim card slot.

    Neil,

If it’s convenient, you can try one of the BAS SIMs in that camera to do a manual photo. If that works (screen says photo is sent, although it may not show up in app), then there’s definitely some sort of problem with the SIM.

It doesn’t work to swap the Spartan SIMs around like it does with BAS SIMs so you can’t test the SC SIM in another camera.

How did you make out? The tech said that the camera did send one pic today

Thanks so much guys, just got back from the property.  After I removed and re-inserted the SIM card a couple more times it came back to life, re-connected and is happily sending photos again now  :)   I also double checked the last picture sent before the problem and it was actually 5 days after my data plan renewed, so it had nothing to do with the data plan.

Any thoughts on what might have caused the SIM card issue and how to prevent in the future?

Thanks again so much for your support!

    Neil

Could just have oxidized a little on the contacts. Sounds like you have it all fixed up now.
