Remote Camera settings update lag
Just got my camera Installed yesterday. All seems to be working except now I am trying to update camera settings from the app but the request just sits in the pending status for hours. I did a late night change last night to the trigger Interval and it seems to have gone through. However I tried to add a task this morning to send me pics at 7am 12pm and 6pm. It says update pending for the last two hours. Yesterday the updates seem to go through fairly quick. Is there a hang up with the Spartan portal or could it be a camera issue? I get full bars at my current location and was getting pics sent to the app yesterday evening, thanks for any help!

You are on the right road setting up events to get pics at specific times. If you don’t want to wait until those times, you can add some more events and just have the camera send a status report every couple or three hours.
My cameras are set to send pics at 9 AM, 3 PM, and 9 PM; status reports at midnight (the default event 1), 3 AM (takes care of time changes spring and fall), and either a photo or a status report at 7 AM (so I have time to request HD pics and/or photos from overnight pics), noon, and 6 PM. That way, I don’t have to wait more than 3 or 4 hours for requests to be completed, except in unusual circumstances.

Ah ok, that’s why they updated so quickly yesterday, I was in the camera view to trigger a picture and thus update the system. Great suggestion to add some status updates throughout the day to trigger any camera requests. Thanks for the info.
By the way I noticed a live view webpage on Spartan website. Are you guys working on a live view option for the GoCam? -
I think that live view was for photos coming from cameras in different locations. I’m don’t think it’s been active in a while, but I’m not sure.
If I’m at the camera and want to update settings, I request the setting update, then take/send a manual photo to trigger the setting update, and then take/send another manual photo to be sure that it has changed (especially for something like thumbnail size that’s easy to tell).
Whenever I “touch” a camera, I take/send at least one manual photo.

It’s not something you do from the app. It’s just to test the camera when you are setting it up.
With the camera in setup mode and logged into the cell network, point it at something, press OK to take a picture and OK again to send the picture. Watch the screen. What you see varies by camera model, but you should see something along the lines of “Setting”, “Sending” (it may be 1/9 or 1/10), and then the important thing is “Sent”. That says that you should get a photo. If you don’t, there should be some sort of error message.
