Camera temperature

The specs for the attxb indicates the minimum temperature is -4F.  What happens when it goes below this ... say -20F?  Will the camera be damaged or just stop working?

  I've had my camera in temperatures in the negatives and the camera kept working. I think that's more dependent on the type of batteries that you're using and how they hold up in the cold.

  I live in cold temps. Use Energizer Ultimate lithium batteries. Everytime it gets below 0°F, my camera won't work. But as a side note... the batteries are never at full life when it gets that cold either. Maybe a factor, I don't know.
