Did you buy a data plan? Remember credits are not the same as data.

Did you get the data from Spartan or Verizon? Go into the camera menu and to diagnostics and try a hello test.

I’m having the same issue. My camera will not register nor will it perform a hello test.

    Jackthomaskennedy,

The first thing to check is whether you have a data plan. What model camera (GC-what)? Did you add the camera to your cell phone plan or buy your data from Spartan?

Are you using a 32 G or less, class 10, standard-size (not microSD in an adapter) SD card that’s been formatted in the camera?

When the camera doesn’t pass the Hello test, that usually means that the camera is not connecting to the network because it doesn’t have a data plan.

jackthomaskennedy, are you getting an error when you try and perform the hello test or a system busy message?

If my regular cell service is through at&t, is that the same service I need to use for my camera? It’s a GC-Z4GB and says is connected by Verizon. I purchased the plan for Verizon because it says that.

That is correct, you need the plan for the Z4gb through Verizon. When did you purchase the plan and did you get it through Verizon or Spartan?

I purchased it through the spartan website yesterday evening

Sometimes Verizon takes a while to activate the data, have you tried again this morning? Does it show as an active plan on your account?

It’s not showing a wireless subscription now. I am going to try and purchase the plan again and see if it will accept this time

I have seen that a few times, just make sure that you complete all the steps and then you should be good to go.

All good now! Is there a way for another person to view the same camera on their phone also?

Yes, hit the three bars on the app where you would access your camera settings or status report and you should see a "share camera" option. Enter their name and email address and decide if you want to give them guest or admin access and then send the invite. They will get an email with instructions on how to proceed. If they don't already have an account they will need to create one. If they already have a Spartan camera on the app make sure you use the same email that they use for their app log-in. If for some reason the have a problem and get the link expired message you just need to delete them and resend the invite.
