Is this a new camera setup or one that was working and stopped? Where are you purchasing your data from?

Have you tried a different SD card, formatted the one you are using?

If you just activated it sometimes it can take Verizon an hour or two before the SIM card is actually active. Also make sure that they set it up as a customer supplied device, sometimes they make a mistake and don't do that and then it doesn't work. You can also default the camera in it's menu.

The help is appreciated. I set this camera up on Friday. I’ll call Verizon and check on the devise status. What does defaulting the camera do

Just resets it to factory settings. Is the firmware up to date on the camera? So you were able to set it up and register it to the portal on Friday?

I’m having the same issue with the same camera. My camera has been in the field for 3 months. Has worked great. Went to change the batteries and SD card, formatted the class 10 32gb card. Will not even send a test picture. It will retry and then fail. What can I do to fix this? Thanks

What model what model camera? Is the firmware current? Does it pass the Hello test? (Camera in setup and on the network, Menu button, scroll to the fourth tab, scroll down to Diagnostics).

The firmware version should be a date. I would try putting the original SD card back in the camera. I would also default the camera settings from the cameras menu.

With firmware, we’re just looking for the date. If the camera passes the Hello test (not sure what you mean by “seems” because either the test is successful or it fails), it has a data plan, so that’s good. Can you try a different SD card? Name brand (SanDisk preferred), standard size, class 10 32 G (as you say you have), 80 MB/s speed or faster.

Do you have any pending commands? If so, please cancel them.

The only reason I switched SD cards was because the camera stopped sending pictures. I shut the camera off to move it to a new location and tried turning it back on but it wouldn’t send me a picture when I tried to send one from the setup menu. So I switched sd cards thinking that might help. I will try a different new one. One I have in there is only 48mb/ sec

I would definitely try a different SD card. There is also a newer firmware

Firmware is updated. I’ve tried 2 brand new different sd cards but they’re 48MB/s all formatted. It’s gotta be the sd cards. Strange since those all worked in my other cameras ( have 3 of the exact same spartan’s) including the card that was working for 3 months. Now all of the sudden won’t send pics. I’ll have to grab a couple new ones with 80mb/sec.

I’ll give that a try and report back

SD cards work until they don’t. I’ve used 40 and 48 but I’ve had problems with them. Hope the SD card is the problem.

Will a 90mb/sec work? Just ordered some off amazon and the pictures showed 32 go class 10, 80mb/sec. but that’s not what they sent.

Yes, that will be fine as long as it's 32gb or smaller and a class 10.

Camera still not sending pictures. Changed the sd card to one recommended and still not working. Will not send a manual photo either. Anything else I can try? I left the camera in field and on so hoping something can be done without me going back to the camera.

    Kyle,

Did you do a Hello test? (Camera in setup, on the cell network, Menu, fourth tab, scroll to Diagnostic, Hello test)

Unfortunately, unless the problem is that you are out of data or time on your plan and there was a problem with your credit card so you plan didn’t autorenew, there isn’t anything that can be done remotely.

You need to start with the Hello test to see if the camera has a data connection. The troubleshooting that comes after that depends on whether the camera passes the Hello test or not.

When a camera is not working, the best thing to do is to pull it so that you can troubleshoot it at home with the camera in hand.

    It passed the hello test.

At this point, we’re just guessing. Do you have any pending commands? Did you format the SD card in the camera? Was there an error message on the screen when you took/sent the manual photo? Did the camera update the status report when you turned it on? Has it contacted the server since (the date/time is after you left)?

11 days ago you said the firmware was updated? Did you do a manual update at that point?

Yeah the firmware was put on a new as card and manually updated. It has yet to update on the app though. It passed the hello test and was formatted in the camera. It will not send a manual photo. I try to take one and it wail say setting...., sending.... failed. And that’s all it says. Seems to be a connectivity issue. I have 3 premium credits that expire in April. The other 2 cameras are working fine. This camera hasn’t updated in over 2 weeks (since it stopped working). I’ve tried updating through the app but that doesn’t seem to work so I just cancelled all requests

    Kyle,

Premium credits don’t expire. Now if you are talking about a three month Spartan data plan that includes the credits, that does expire after three months. However, if you are getting your data service from a cell carrier and have premium credits you bought separately, they are only used when the camera is sending pics. If the camera goes offline and the current credit expires, it won’t take another credit until it sends a picture again. (The second part is for people who may be reading this thread; you said earlier that you have a Spartan data plan so your plan will expire.)

Did you default the camera? If not, try that. Sometimes that fixes weird things.
