Where are you buying your data from? If you are getting it from ATT or Verizon directly have you checked your premium credits?

no bought it from spartan, the camera was working fine yesterday then just went blank, didn't send a status report this morning like it is supposed to do. Not sure what is going on it has been working fine and then bam nothing.

I’d be willing to bet if you format the Sd card in the camera it will work for awhile again. Mine do the same thing for no reason at all. All are quality cards with full battery. Just instantly stop until then. Although I don’t like the inconvenience of that, I’m only a short distance from my cameras to fix them. What I don’t like is their POS app that they can’t seem to get working correctly. Went from the best in the industry to the worst. Unfortunately I’m invested in them. Hoping they either get it figured out or there will be some YouTube videos of me destroying thousands of dollars worth of cameras to show people what they are actually worth

If you have to repeatedly format the card then it's gone bad. If you got the card from Amazon or eBay there are plenty of fakes being sold, if you bought it from a reputable dealer/store then maybe it just went bad. Also if your cameras firmware is up to date and you are running the latest version of the app as long as the camera is at least checking in with a status report then you can format the card from the app. Also if you are running your cameras and don't have power save turned on then try turning it on and see if that helps.

    Calvin,

I don’t know what your game is, but it’s getting tiresome. I don’t know how old you are, but you are acting like a petulant toddler.

The app is working fine for most users. Yes, there are some adjustments that need to be made and they will be. I’m running the app on two Android phones (three if you count the one that no longer has a SIM in it and just works on WiFi), two Android tablets, and three iPads.

I am running 30 of these cameras, give or take, at any given time. I have had SD cards go bad, but it’s pretty rare. When it happens, I replace the card and throw the bad one away. I don’t keep trying to use it because I know what is going to happen. I also keep spare SIMs and antennas because stuff happens.

I love the app! I’ve been using it since it was first in beta. There have been times when response times (scrolling, photo download) were very slow but that has been fixed.

Do you really think that thousands (tens of thousands) of satisfied Spartan Camera users are going to ditch the equipment they are happy with just because you put some silly video on YouTube?

If you think that there are other brands of cameras that you will be happy with, it’s probably time to start transitioning to that brand because I don’t think you’re ever going to be happy with Spartan.

Liz, classic response from a spartan rep! Keep representing them well.
P.S. I will continue to make the remarks so everyone can see and not waste money like I did on a company that is lagging behind. If they ever get it fixed, I will be a huge supporter like I once was. Until then I can assume we will have our spats while I point their flaws and you continue to argue that since some apps work all is well. 60% is still passing.

Im sure a honest video review like that would at least discourage a few people from getting screwed over. Someone has to be on the consumers side of this.

Why don’t you buy my cameras back for what I have in them! I’m not apposed to changing brands at all.

Jonny- I will say your the one I appreciate responses from. With the format button in the app, it won’t format when the cameras stop. I’ve tried numerous times but it’s dead in water. Also, my cards are from Walmart and I’m still taking some out of the package when I swap around so they are all brand new to within a year old. 8-32 gb class 10 San disk.

    Calvin,

You run in and post on every new post even when the subject isn’t anything close to what your gripe is. By the time the person has asked the question, it’s not about whether or not to buy something, it’s trying to get help for the particular problem that they are having. The last few posts haven’t had anything at all to do with the app or problems with the app. Your constant bitching about the app, the app, the app, isn’t doing any good, although I suppose it makes you feel better.

Spartan is no more lagging behind than the man in the moon, but you just keep believing that. The Spartan app, which you hate so much, has a lot more handy features than other company’s apps. There are people who mostly use other brands of cameras that are telling people who want a functional app to buy Spartans.

Why should I buy your cameras? I’ve bought the cameras I want already. I have plenty of them. I don’t need yours. You also well know that used cameras aren’t worth nearly what you have in them.

I’m just shaking my head. Your “honest” video reviews are probably not going to come across the way you think they are if they’re anything like your posts here.

Calvin what speed are the cards, some class 10 are an 80 speed and others are in the 40's or 50's. I bought some that were the slower speed and they didn't hold up. What problems are you having with the app? I'm sorry but I can't remember.

Liz- my constant bitching is about a problem. Your the one being patted on the back from spartan for parading their shit so your comments mean very little at this point. Take a pointer from Jonny and start being more professional. I am going to refrain from answering the rest of your post. You’d thank me.

Jonny- I know they are 80s or maybe even 90s. I know they are the faster ones. I had I think something in the 40s for my older cams but have since purchased newer and faster. At this point I can’t only tell you 80+ until I can go grab them. Thank you for representing a company well and being respectful
