You should have either gotten your data from ATT or Spartan depending on which SIM card came with the camera. Most are shipping with the Spartan Sim card now. The front will be all white with the att logo. If that's the card that you have you'll have to cancel the data plan with ATT.

Here’s the number to call AT&T:

    1-800-331-0500

You’ll need the phone number that was assigned to that camera by AT&T.

Ask for technical support, then answer “session based” until you talk to someone who knows what “session based” is. Those are the magic words. You may have to ask for someone who handle iPad prepaid accounts. Sometimes these cameras are listed as iPads in the AT&T system.

If you get someone who knows what “session based” is, you should be able to get help pretty quickly. They need to cancel the data plan and refund your money.

If you got a plan from Spartan, you have both data and premium service and that’s all you need.

mine came with a card from spartan with ATT sim. i activated my spartan data at 11.99 , is that all i needed to do ? bc it told me to go to att session based to purchase a data plan? is that why my camera is searching network and not connecting bc it has spartan plan and att session plan?

Yes, I think that is the problem. I think the card has instructions for both types of SIM cards.

“Searching network”. As told over phone by Spartan, I went to Verizon and got a new SIM card. Ordered new data plan and still getting same message. “System busy” when I try to run any diagnostic

Try defaulting the camera in it's menu. Is the firmware up to date and what size, class and speed SD card are you using. Needs to be a full sized card, not a micro in an adapter. What is your camera model? Is this a new camera or one that was working and stopped?

Set to defaults, same issue. On diagnostic tab, keep getting a system busy. Not getting current date anymore either. 1/12/2019. And can’t set time zone to eastern. Or any for that matter.
Using a brand new 32gb class 10 full size card. No micro.
As far as I can tell the firmware is up to date. Status reports haven’t gone through so I cancelled them.
    Camera model: GC-Z4Gb
Camera worked fine for a year and have had this issue for about a month or so now

The time and date will be off since you defaulted the camera. Look on the status report on the app and see the time and date of the last status report. It will also tell you if the firmware is up to date. Make sure all your requests are cancelled, format the card, default the camera again and then turn it to set up and see if it finds signal. That system busy means the camera is trying to do something, either connect to the network or upload or download a request

Last status report was 6/23@9:15. I’ve formatted the new card but even that isn’t updating. Still saying I have the old 4gb card in.
After restarting again, still getting searching network.
Should I try the old SIM card that came with camera? If so, where do I update that card number?

You can try the old Sim card just to see what happens. Did you default the camera in it's menu?

Yes I did. When I paid for my new data plan I entered the new SIM card number as well. Will that make a difference?

If your data is with the new sim then that's the one that should work. The plan shows as active on your account and you got the confirmation email?

Yes. I deactivated my account 2 days ago and reactivated it with the new SIM card this morning. The confirmation email came through shortly after reactivating it.

Only thing I can think now is to try a manual update. The antenna is attached to the camera correct?

He's a list of the updates and instructions. Make sure you use a clean SD card and copy the update for your exact camera model.

Todd, can you post a picture of the information screen from the camera please? If you toggle through the menu you'll find it.

Just want to verify that you are getting your data from Spartan or Verizon? What is your email address?

Can you get to the register camera screen or check the hello test?

When I try to do a hello test, it says “system busy”

After I try to “register camera”, it basically bricks the HMI of the camera and I have to turn it off to interact again

Ok, it's being looked into. Can you post a picture of the sticker on the camera too or email it to me at johnny.lockburner@spartancamera.com please

I seem to be having the same problem with GC-ATTb.  I hadnt used camera in over a year.  I just manually updated and then reformated sd card.  I reset to defaults but it still wont connect to network.  I got data plan direct from ATT buy a session.

Look at the info screen on the camera, does the IMEI number match the one on the sticker. Also go into the menu and to diagnostics and see if you can perform the hello test, does it pass or fail?
