GC-A4Gb firmware update showed up
GC-A4Gb firmware update showed up just now on the app for my GC-A4Gb cameras. If I select update firmware , do I have to go to my cameras and reboot them? Will I stop receiving pictures if I do not update ?

If you select Update, you do not have to go to your cameras and reboot. This fix is for a connectivity issue so it’s possible that you will stop receiving pics if you don’t update, but not likely.
If you are going to your cameras soon, you may feel more comfortable doing the update manually, but OTA should work. Occasionally, OTA doesn’t complete as it should but that is an unusual situation.

Ok thanks for the reply. I was near my cameras early this morning, but won’t be able to go back until next week. I have a scheduled event for 17:00, so I’ll see then if I will still receive a picture. If so, I’ll then select to update firmware on the cameras. I’ll get a status update at 00:00 and a scheduled event photo at 06:00. I’ll be able to see if the firmware has been updated and my cameras functioning properly. Thanks for the reply!

Every time the camera contacts the server for any reason, it sends a status report. You should have gotten a status report with the 5 PM scheduled event photo. If the FW update had happened, the status report would be after the photo was sent, but the time on it would be several seconds before the FW update.
However, if your FW update is still pending, it may/should happen after the next time the camera contacts the server, whether it’s sending a photo or for the midnight status report.
