Not sure what happened but I just got a picture and it just took a credit. Never sent me my requested picture from real time mode. But at least it seems to be back up and running again.

Is your firmware up to date?

It says that the firmware is up to date. I requested a HD picture from the one that just sent and that went through no problem. Strange....

I have a VCTb that is a bit hit or miss at times. Look on the portal and see if there is a gap between the latest picture you got and the previous one from several days ago.

Yeah I have the same gap of time between the portal, the mobile app, and the time it should have started on a new credit. As of right now it seems to be working fine. We’ll see what the next couple of days brings. Maybe I just needed to wake it up or something.

It should have been sending a status report. I mean is there a gap in picture numbers on the portal. It may have been taking pictures but not sending them. Or is it possible that nothing was happening in front of it all that time?

I can get my status reports back to last Sunday. The number of pictures that are being reported on the status reports hasn’t changed. So maybe I haven’t had any movement in front of the camera in 8 days. I find it hard to believe, but I guess it is possible. I was at 127 pictures for the month.

I believe that number you are seeing is transmitted photos. So if the pictures are being taken and saved to the memory card but not send successfully I don't think that number will change.

You’ll need to look on the portal and see if there is a gap in the picture numbers. Here is a screen shot that shows missing pictures in the sequence. I put a new SD card in (this one had been in since just before Christmas) and it’s sent all 37 pics it’s taken since yesterday when I did that.

I'm sorry, I misunderstood.   Yes, there is a gap in the pictures.

Still seems to be working alright today.  I've had a few pictures come through the mobile app.

When you have gaps like that, it means that the camera took pictures but was unable to send them for some reason. Could be a signal problem, could be an SD card problem, could be a firmware problem if firmware is not up to date, could be a damaged antenna. Some possibilities are more likely than others, but it’s sometimes hard to tell until you get to the camera.

Okay. Thank you for the help. It’s the first time I have seen the problem. It seems to be working fine now so I’m not going to worry about it for the time being. We are just 2 weeks away from the season opener of bow season here in Michigan and I’ll be walking right by it when I go out. I’ll give it a good look over then. Thanks again.
