GC-VCTi not sending pictures or taking credit
I have a GC-VCTi that has been working up until the last week. I noticed this morning that it hasn’t taken a new credit off of my account. I am getting the status updates fine but no pictures on either the web or mobile app. I was able to go into continuous connection mode during the last status update and just tried requesting a immediate picture without getting one. It says that it was completed but never came through. Batteries are fully charged as I have two aux batteries hooked up to my cameras. My 4G camera took a credit around the same time this one should have. I have 2 credits left in my account. Any suggestions?

I can get my status reports back to last Sunday. The number of pictures that are being reported on the status reports hasn’t changed. So maybe I haven’t had any movement in front of the camera in 8 days. I find it hard to believe, but I guess it is possible. I was at 127 pictures for the month.

You’ll need to look on the portal and see if there is a gap in the picture numbers. Here is a screen shot that shows missing pictures in the sequence. I put a new SD card in (this one had been in since just before Christmas) and it’s sent all 37 pics it’s taken since yesterday when I did that.

When you have gaps like that, it means that the camera took pictures but was unable to send them for some reason. Could be a signal problem, could be an SD card problem, could be a firmware problem if firmware is not up to date, could be a damaged antenna. Some possibilities are more likely than others, but it’s sometimes hard to tell until you get to the camera.

Okay. Thank you for the help. It’s the first time I have seen the problem. It seems to be working fine now so I’m not going to worry about it for the time being. We are just 2 weeks away from the season opener of bow season here in Michigan and I’ll be walking right by it when I go out. I’ll give it a good look over then. Thanks again.
