Which model cameras are these? GC-What?

There have been reports of intermittent Verizon problems in some areas. I’m running 8 Verizon cameras (VZW, VCT, V4G, W4G, Z4G) and they are working, so it is not all Verizon cameras or even specific models. It seems that people who have problems seem to have problems with all their cameras, which leads me to believe that it’s network-related somehow.

None of us here has as much expertise with this sort of thing as the tech support people. We’re probably not going to be able to help.

BTW, the battery indicator is not like the fuel gauge on a vehicle. There’s no 66%. 5.7V is full power. 5.1 V shows as 3 bars, but that is low power. 4.8 V is 2 bars but your batteries are basically dead. Anything other than full/5.7 V/P5 is low battery.

Pretty sure I saw 66% on a photo (or video can’t remember which one) when I viewed the card from the camera. I have z4gb and w4gb.

    Pictures won't have a percentage, just a P5, P3, P1, P0

The batteries were showing full bars.

Your batteries may have been okay. You didn’t mention what kind. Just be aware that lithiums can show full bars and P5 right up until they die. Sometimes you get little or no warning.

That said, it wouldn’t be likely that three cameras would all be down because of bad batteries, especially after you changed them.

(Dead batteries cause a lot of camera outages and a lot of confusion. We’re considering alternatives to the current way of representing battery power.)

Mine stopped sending pictures yesterday full batteries. Checked it today everything looks fine and seems to be working but it’s not sending them to my phone?? It’s frustrating. It’s only taken 571 pics since I’ve had it.

What model camera? GC-What? Is the firmware current? What happens when you take/send a manual photo? Are you using premium (app) or auto (email)?

What kind of batteries are you using? Are you using a class 10 SD card?

So I’ve had Verizon trying to figure this out as well. Still nothing! They had me turn off the one camera in my possession and it actually sent a test photo, and then stopped working again. Brought to Verizon store and had a new SIM card activated and put in to confirm the SIM card wasn’t the issue. SIM cards, both old and new, work CAMERAS DO NOT WORK.

    Joe,

What model camera? GC-what? Have the cameras been working and they just stopped? Or new cameras that you are trying to get working?

Can you tell me what SD cards you are using? Brand, class (4, 6, or 10), speed (what MB/s?), size (standard or microSD/adapter), formatted in the camera?

If the camera is sending a test photo, you have a data connection, so that part is good, but we have to figure out the rest.

Two different models Z4Gb and W4Gb. Cameras were working fine for about 5 months and then stopped sending pictures. All 3 of my cameras. Sandisk Class 10 32 Gb formatted in camera. Will no longer send test photo. Says sending, then retrying, then failed. Been on the phone multiple times for hours with both Verizon and Spartan. My account says I have 3 premium credits.

    Joe,

Do the cameras pass the Hello test? In setup and on the network, fourth tab, Diagnostics, Hello test.

Yes they pass the hello test. I have even tried defaulting them and gone through all steps with similar results. Tried both premium and auto.

    Joe,

You've done everything that I would have suggested. If you haven't already contacted tech support, please email them. There are some areas where the Verizon cameras appear to be unable to connect to the network. It's not everywhere or even most places (I'm running an assortment of Verizon cameras and mine are doing fine), but it seems to hit all the Verizon cameras in a group, or nearly so.

support@spartancamera.com. Include your phone number, time zone, best time to call. Make sure your voice mail box is set up and not full in case they are unable to reach you when they call.
