If you have an Android phone the pictures are going to be stored in the gallery, they have to be stored somewhere. They will be deleted when they are purged from the app. If you have an Android phone go into the settings for the phone and then to apps and then the Spartan app, do a force stop and clear the cache and see if that helps.

Chase they have always been stored in the gallery on Android phones. Is your new phone a Samsung phone or Google pixel by any chance?

Mine is a note 10+. I currently get pictures when i go to the app... but none of them are stored in my gallery unless i actually download the photos. That's how this phone and the last one was as well. Mine only go to the gallery if i select download photos... or automatically download... if those aren't selected they will not download to your phone, only your app will store them.

Chase did you try the force stop and clear the cache in the phone settings for the app? Also double check that all the permissions for the app are allowed. If you left a message tech will get back to you and they may have some suggestions. Google pixel, Samsung and iPhones are stubborn in allowing auto downloads, they prioritize for your and don't allow you to override them. It also can depend on other apps on your phone to how it prioritizes. You can have two exact same model phones with different apps on them and they behave differently. Make sure in the phone settings for the app that allow to run in the background is turned on and battery management is turned off.

If the photos are on your phone in the app they are going to be in your phone somewhere, they have to be. iPhones hide them somewhere and Android puts them in the gallery.

Listen, my phone, does not store them in the gallery! They only go to the gallery if i choose to download the photos.... other than that i delete them off the app... or i save the photo which puts it into another file. THEY ARE NOT STORED IN MY GALLERY!!!! If you can't help me with the issue about having to open my app in order to recieve photos then please move on.

Johnny and I are members of the camera test team. We understand how this works because we’ve been involved with testing and provided input since long before this version of the app was released to the public.

The pictures ARE stored in the gallery, although they may not appear there until after the app is restarted. All photos that you view in the app are downloaded to your phone, to the gallery. They are stored in folders with the ID number assigned to the camera.

If you save a photo, it goes to a folder that’s named the same as the camera description.

There is no need to delete photos from the app. They are automatically purged after 30 days. If you want them there for fewer days, in the app, Settings, set a smaller number for Purge Days.

These are screen shots from my Galaxy Note 9 phone using the default Gallery app. As you can see, the app does, indeed, store screen shots in the gallery.

If you can't be polite to someone who is trying to help you, you are the one who needs to move on.

In your phone settings (not the app settings, phone settings), Apps, Spartan Camera, Battery. Make sure that Allow background activity is set to App can use battery in background.

If there is an app sleep setting, make sure that the Spartan Camera app is not allowed to sleep.

If none of this helps, you're just going to have to wait for tech support to contact you. They have screen shots of this conversation (except for this last message).

Here is my galley of saved photos...then ill take a screenshot of whats on my app for photos of the same exact camera. They only download to my gallery if i select the "download photos" button in the app. Im very irritated at the fact my main problem is retrieving my photos, without having to go open the app, and then one i open the app they all finally start to come thru... hours after the pictures were taken, or even days. As far add the gallery goes, you'll see mine do NOT store in the gallery unless i instruct the the photos to download to my phone. Screenshots go to my gallery yes, but that's not what was being discussed.

Wont give me the options to post images in this thread. I have the note 10+. When can i expect a call back? Been calling since last week, another irritation is customer service...why dont one of you reach out and I'll explain whats going on and maybe you can resolve it

In the app settings, do you have Automatically Download ON, Download Only when WiFi is Available OFF, and New Photo Available / Downloaded ON?

You're going to have to talk to tech support. They don't monitor this forum.

Johnny and I have done all we can. You'll get a call back when it's your turn. Calls and emails are answered in the order received. Tech support will have some background on this because I've sent them screen shots of the conversation. I hope you will be more civil with the person who calls you then you've been with Johnny.

Johnny and I are not regular Spartan Camera employees. I have a policy of NOT calling customers because I don't have a company phone and I don't want customers having my personal phone number. I don't know what Johnny's policy is but I can't imagine that he'd want to talk to you after you've told him to move on.

We understand what's going on. We've offered the suggestions that we have. Hopefully tech support will have some answers for you.

Good luck. I hope the problem is resolved for you.

The reason he wa told to move on was bc you guys are sitting here telling me something that's not happening on my phone. I posted my issues and he focused in telling me my gallery is where they are stored. That wasn't my main issue...2nd they aren't in my gallery unless i put then there, and you guys are over threre telling me they are... if it would let me send you the screenshots i would be able to show you. I didn't post to argue, it's frustrating having 8 cameras that i have to go retrieve the photos is all, and can't get anyone to talk to or return calls

Did you leave voice mail when you called? Support says that they have a record that you have made contact but there aren't any tickets open.

If you didn't leave voice mail, you may want to email support@spartancamera.com. Provide your phone number, your time zone, and the best time to call and they'll contact you in the order received.

As Johnny pointed out, there are some things that are controlled by the phone and operating system and two identical phones will not behave identically. I hope tech support will be able to sort this out for you.
