Is there an alternative to replacing the paddle antenna with the yellow cap when using the cam for Non transmitting as a standard cam?

During times when I don't want to use data (use as standard trail cam) and want to prevent the antenna from getting broken/chewed, etc....what can I use to cover the hole?

I don't think the yellow cap with tape over it will be a safe solution to keeping it dry.

  Yellow cap with duck tape or Gorilla tape should work.

  I had the same question and concern a while back.
  I bought some acorn nuts from the hardware store. I figure those and a teeny tiny bit of silicon will work well.

  Thx....I don't see why any of those options wouldn't work as well as the acorn nuts.  Just add some Teflon tape on the threads and that would possibly keep it watertight.
