    Time of day doesn't matter. I've gotten pics at 65 to 85 yards consistently but you have to take your time when aiming. The camera has areas of detection that are more sensitive than other areas, it's the nature of a fresnel lens. Hilly areas are more difficult to set the camera up because of the changes in elevation. Also better if the critters are moving left to right across the camera instead of directly towards or away from the camera.
