I'm looking for a cam to monitor scrapes and trails. Pics only, no vid. Immediate release or sending pics is not needed. I don't want a gap in trigger or the cam being "down" as it's sending pics. Preferably I would like the cam armed on instant trigger with multiple bursts so nothing gets by. Then have those images stored to the card and be sent when I request them. That could be a half day or a full 2 days later. Goal is to monitor scrape/trails and stay out of woods and instead of walking to the cam to check it, simply request the batch to be sent.

Is this option possible on any Spartan? Maybe the Ghost? Is there a work around to achieve this on the GC-Z4GB2?

You will need the Ghost model. The batch sending feature is what you are looking for. You can set up a zero delay which will give you pictures 4 or 5 seconds apart on photo only and then set up specific times during the day to deliver the photos. From 1 to 9 delivery times throughout the day.

The Ghost is the only camera that can batch send, but it won’t work the way you want it to. You set up scheduled batch send events, so it would typically send at least once a day. You might be able to use work days to make it send only certain days a week, but you won’t be able to request it to send on demand.

Understood Elizabeth.  Sending in increments would be fine vs requesting.

So is the absolute fastest time between pics 4 or 5 seconds as John mentioned?  I'm probably reading that wrong.

I know other cams have settings to fire rapidly.  Taking 4-8 pics in just a few seconds max then rearming itself to fire away again within a second or so.  Which the GC-Z4GB2 appears to do that on a 3 shot burst because the target has barely moved from pic 1 to 3.  But then comes the delays as it sends pics.  The delay/down time is what I want to avoid.

I want the cam to fire away as quickly as possible with no delays at all.

Example:  Monitoring trail in morning.  Buck following doe.  Both trotting.  I'd like the cam to fire away possibly taking 10-15 pics in a 3 second span on a rapidfire setting then store to card.  Doesn't connect to server to send out.  Hour later another buck works through same area.  Cam fires away taking 10 pics.  Stores pics to card.  Doesn't connect to server to send out.  Then later in the day at the set batch send time those pics come thru on app.  So there was basically zero down time during that entire morning other than the cam sending the batch group at the time selected.  Is that possible?

I'm pretty sure you can use burst mode and set it at 1 second between pictures when set to batch send, three photos is the max for the burst though. It should be ready to take another burst of three in 4 or 5 seconds. You may get 3 seconds in between pics but I think 4 or 5 is the norm when set to single pic with zero delay and batch sending

The Ghost doesn’t have a rapid fire mode that would take 10-15 pics in 3 seconds. If you have no time set between pics, it will take 3 pics in less than 2 seconds. Then it will rest, but Johnny knows a lot more about time between bursts.

You may want to try photo + video. Get the photo, request the video, video will come in during the next batch send. That is going to be closer to giving you what you want, I think.
