I have a simular problem and called the technical support. They had me run through a few things but my pictures still weren't sending. They requested that I let the camera take some pictures and let the camera attempt to send and then take the error files off the SD card and send to technical support. Apparently they are currently trying to find the source of the problem on some the cameras. I would recommend you do the same.

    Tim,

One thing to check is on the fourth tab in the camera menu, make sure that the camera is set to send via Premium rather than Auto.

Tim I replied to your other post, let's keep the conversation going in this one. Try defaulting the camera in it's menu

OK I defaulted the camera and rebooted and went through the process and took a pic manually and hit send and it did not send the photo. It is set up in Premium.

What does it say on the screen after you hit the OK button to send the picture?

Nothing as it used to say Photo Sent but it does not do that now.

OK so I just received a couple photos to my App on my phone taken two minutes ago as I left it on to take pics to get any error messages off the SD card. But the pics were nothing but blank white with the info stamped on the bottom.

They may have just been overexposed if you are close to the lens or indoors. What size and class SD card are you using? Hows the signal strength and are all the photos show P5 the last few days and nights (especially the nights) when the camera was working last?

So I defaulted the camera three times and now it appears to be working properly so far. Don't know what happened and why this would happen but at least I know troubleshooting tips now should this occur in the future.

I’m currently having the same problems. I just had 5 pictures sent to my phone but only one downloaded. This is some bulls**t. Paid 300$ for a camera that half ass works. Anybody have any solutions?

    Tyler,

There’s probably a setting that needs to be changed.

    iOS or Android?

when you log in to my.spartancamera.com, are the pictures on the portal? We need to find out whether the problem is between the camera and the server or the server and your phone.

    Elizabeth,

I have iOS. I have no idea how to find them online. I have the pictures sent to my phone via the app.

Elizabeth, I found them through the link you mentioned and still not showing 4 of the pictures. Sounds like your problem lies between server and camera. Hope y’all can get this fixed quick.

Tyler, what camera model? How do you know there's 4 missing pictures? You said there were 5 sent to your phone but only one downloaded. Just wondering how you know that there were 5 sent.

    Tyler,

As far as I know, there is no problem with the server. It is possible that there is a problem with your camera. Are the numbers on the pictures on the portal consecutive or not?

So the same camera is still not sending pics. It sent pics for a couple times 21 days ago when my buddy defaulted the camera but then reverted back to not sending pics. I defaulted it again and tried to take a pic and send it like usual. When I try to send it it says setting then sending then failed. So it will not send it. I put in brand new batteries and a new SD card. I have six of these so we are talking around ~ $2500 to I expect some assistance with fixing this issue please.

What is the camera model and is the firmware up to date? Have you tried a hello test in the cameras menu?

What are the specs on the SD card, size, class and speed (mbs). Did you format it in the camera? Is the picture on the SD card?

Class 10 on the SD card and 80 mbs or higher? Is the camera sending a status report or nothing at all?

Yes it is Class 10 with 90 mbs. I'll try to send a status report now.

    What's a hello test?

Hello test is in the cameras menu to see if there's a connection/ active data plan. Try and send the manual picture again and see if it sends a status report to the app.

Did you format the SD card in the camera?

So I did the Hello Test and it stated successful. I also formatted the SD card in the camera just now and I tried to still to send the manual pic and it still does not send and it states failed again.

Did it send a status report though? Check the time and date on the latest report. I'm guessing it will be today and recent or from 21 days ago.

It sent the report just now so that's not a problem

Ok that's good, means the camera is communicating and trying to send the image. It could be a few things. If the signal is poor that might cause the camera to be able to send the smaller status report file but not the picture. The V4's need strong signal so only having one, two or maybe even three bars could be an issue. There could be a problem with the antenna, make sure it's snug and that the pin is still attached to the base of the antenna. Also make sure the camera is set to premium and not auto. And it also could be a bad SD card.

So John, I brought the camera back from Virginia lease with me. I have tried did the Hello Test and it was successful, I have defaulted the camera, I have tried a new antenna as well as a new SD card. Still not sending pics to my App or the computer and it is set to Premium. It is taking the pics as they show up on the SD card. At a lost as to what to do now as this camera was working fine and is less than a year old. The signal is fine as it has four and five bars.
