Which model do you have? GC-what? (All Spartan cameras are GoCams so we need a specific model, please.)
What message is shown on the screen when you try to send a photo manually?
Are you using premium (app/portal) or auto (text/email)? If premium, do you have premium credits?
What is the date and time of the last status report you got?
You may have to update the firmware manually, but let’s check on the other things first. The firmware update you requested won’t happen if the camera is not connecting to the server properly, which not being able to send a manual photo indicates.

If you have the option to update firmware on the app, it should be set to Premium (camera menu, fourth tab), not Auto.
What is the date/time of the last status report? We need to find out when the camera last contacted the server.
What is the battery voltage? The P number on the last few night photos? What kind of batteries are you using?

So the camera has not checked in today since the last status report was yesterday.
What is the voltage shown on the last status report?
Where did you request the firmware update if not from the app. On the app, it's an orange button on the status report page if your firmware is not current.
Your pictures are still on the portal (my.spartancamera.com). You can check the P number there. There is no reason to delete the pictures from the app. By default, they are purged after 30 days. If you want them deleted sooner, in the app, Settings, and choose something less than 30 for purge days. The app will automatically delete any photos that are older than the number of days you set.

It's grayed out because you've already requested it and it hasn't worked. 5.1 V is low/dead battery. That could be why your camera isn't working. It won't update the firmware with low battery.
Change the batteries. Format the SD card. Take/send a manual photo and watch the screen. You should get the photo and then the firmware should update.
