Do any of your pictures show anything other than P5 in the lower right corner? Make sure you check some night pictures. What size SD card are you using (size and class)

As long as you left a message with your info tech will get back to you. They return phone messages and emails in the order that they were received.

If you are seeing 2 bars then most likely your batteries are dead or almost dead

If you see drop in those bars your batteries are low. Those bars show voltage, it's not like a fuel gauge showing how much life is left.

Wat kind of batteries should I use cuz this is nuts if they don’t last a month with 12 batteries

Lithium aa or some type of external will be your best choice for longer life. The camera will keep taking pictures for a while and not send them but you'll have to pull the SD card and look at them, it won't send them once  the batteries are changed.

    Mike,

Support is open M-F 9 AM - 6 PM Eastern. Probably the faster way to get in touch with them is to email support@spartancamera.com but you can also call 770-582-0004 and leave voice mail. Be sure to include your exact camera model (GC-what?), your phone number, time zone, best time to contact you, make sure your voice mail is set up and that your mailbox is not full.

If you are on Facebook, you can also private message the Spartan Camera Facebook page and if I’m available, I can chat, which is easier than posting here a lot of times.

You said that you had it set to video. Taking and sending nothing but videos will use a lot more battery power than sending photos and maybe a few videos. Battery life isn’t measured by time, but by power usage.

Before you slam the camera as junk, let’s see if we can get it working. It may be that it doesn’t work the way you think it works and once you know how it works and work with that, you’ll be a lot less frustrated. You’re hanging a cell phone on a tree, so if your experience is with regular trail cams, keep in mind that this is more like a cell phone than a regular trail camera.

You may find this article on the battery indicator informative:

Elizabeth I don’t think it’s my batteries but I’m gonna switch them today my batteries are less than thirty days old

The battery voltage will fluctuate. Nighttime pictures will usually start showing low first because of the extra draw from the flash. Plus extremely cold days especially with alkaline batteries can hurt performance of the battery.

Alkaline batteries will usually get you 450-650 of the large thumbnail pictures sent (much higher number of pics with standard size thumbnails), if you request HD or videos they are going to significantly decrease that number. Cell cameras are a lot tougher on batteries than a normal cell camera. Think about it like trying to go a month without charging your cellphone.

Four isn't enough to just drain the batteries but if they were low it could have finished them off, that's why I like the photo + video setting. Then you just get the videos that you want transmitted.
