When will a external battery box similar to SC-BAT-BX2 be available for the Spartan Ghost camera?

What's the ETA of this product for the Ghost Camera?

  I believe they are on order but I'm not sure of an ETA, Liz has asked so as soon as we get a time frame we'll let you know.

  hey john, how you doing. I am on my second Ghost - this one is the new verizon Ghost with the internal battery. 

  So, quick question. After reading the forums a little, still confused on the best way to leave this camera unattended deep in the woods and not run out of batteries. I can attach a 15w. 12 volt solar panel. If i do that and add AA batteries, which power supply will the Ghost run on? Will it drain the AA batteries first? Can i run the camera on the solar panel and internal battery only, and forget putting in AA batteries? Thanks - surprised at the lack of information on powering up this style of camera. Toolman.

  Like any of the cameras, the Ghost runs on the highest voltage. During the day. That’s probably solar. If the camera is not on a feeder (IOW, not taking a ton of pics), that may be fine. 

  If there is decent sun, it will run off solar and the internal battery will charge, then it will run off internal at night.

  i am running rechargeable AA in two of mine, need to replace them in one camera after several months. Some people run lithium AA or alkalines. 

  There isn’t a lot of info because the power situation isn’t straightforward. Don’t even think about looking at anything other than voltage on the status report. The battery symbol and P numbers on the info strip will make you crazy,
