Spartan GC-G4Gb Verizon in Canada

Hello, was told that a Spartan GC-G4Gb Verizon model will work in Canada by swapping out the Verizon sim to a Canadian one. I have the camera and swapped out to a Bell sim card (I have one for my mobile hotspot device and one from my cell phone). I changed the APN settings to match Bell's and was able to get it connected once to get the camera registered. Since then it has not connected to the network, tried both sim card and tried at different locations. Phone will have full bars at those locations. It just says trying to connect to network for 3min then the camera goes into active mode and will take photos but not transmit them. Anyone have any suggestions?

  Is Bell GSM or CDMA? Who told you about swapping SIMs?

  Bell is GSM. Spartan told me about swapping sim cards.

  Verizon is CDMA. I’m pretty sure I’ve heard of using different SIMs in AT&T cameras, but not in Verizon. Might want to talk to tech support again. They don’t monitor this forum.

  Thanks Elizabeth, I have emailed them. When I ordered I did not think the Verizon model would work (it was the same way with cell phones) but they assured me this was the model. Hopefully can just exchange for the AT&T model.
