The one where pictures are sent or log in for the portal and app?
One of the most basic responsibilities of a consumer of your products is to register his/her camera after purchase. Because, if I have a malfunction of my Spartan camera, justifiably, the first thing Spartan Customer Support/Service (SCS) is going to ask me is my name and serial # of my camera in question. And the SCS will probably ask if the camera was registered. Hey, it's important for your customers to register his or her camera, right?!?!? It's IMPORTANT TO ME that I protect my purchase and register my camera so if something happens to it, I'll be covered by the warranty.
However, I must point out that Spartan makes it hard for its customers to register their camera(s) on the Spartan website. I'm sure whomever is responsible for Spartan's website knows exactly how to/where to register a camera. Well, I know exactly where my bathroom is in my house and I can find it in the dark, but even with directions, I would not expect anyone else to find it in the dark. So, grab a regular consumer off the street and ask him/her to register a camera on Spartan's website. I highly doubt they'd be able to.
So I'm going to register my Spartan cameras the old fashion way... I'm going to write it all down and mail it in. And, someone with Spartan will have to enter all that information when Spartan could have saved a lot of time letting its customer(s) enter the data. I have a brother-in-law that bought 12 Spartan GoCams (upon my recommendation) and what a PITA it's going to be for him to register each camera. I bought two, so I'll be slightly inconvenienced. I should be able to SCAN my box with my iPhone and register it that way.
Nonetheless, I hope someone with Spartan make registering cameras easy.
Let me end with a compliment! As a marketing major from Auburn University and 30 years in sales... the packaging, instructions, box, simplistic wording and positioning of the camera and box is A+!!! Spartan didn't overwhelm me with too much paperwork in the box!!!! So, hat's off to the marketing ppl at Spartan!!! However, strive to allow your customers to register their newly purchased Spartan GoCam easily on the Spartan website!
I’m checking to see whether adding the camera to your account (through the app or portal) counts as registration.
Did you try typing “registration” in the search box that’s on the home page of the web site? I did, and the first thing that comes up is the registration form.
From the Home page, I also tapped Support and then tapped Support again (the same Support you saw when you came to this page to post your rant on someone else’s post) and the registration form is listed there, as well.
BTW, if I were you, I would come back and edit my post to remove my email and phone number.
