Picture notifications

Why does my app not have the red circle in the top corner telling me how many new pics I have. The only way I can see if there are any new pictures is to open app and wait for the new pics to pop up

    Have you tried logging out of the app and back in? Is auto download turned on in the app settings and download only when on wifi turned off? Also make sure that new photo available/download is turned on too. Do you have an Android or iphone?

    Hey john we talked on the phone about this issue this afternoon. I still cannot get notified when I have a new picture. Only once I open the app does it then tell me
    I have a new photo

    Joshua, it was a different John you were speaking too. I do the tech support remotely, the John you were talking to is from the office. I have very little experience with iPhones. I do know that they prioritize apps and which ones are allowed to run in the background. Did the app ever download and notify you before you opened it or has it always been this way? Liz has more experience with I devices and I'm sure she'll see this and maybe have some suggestions.

    Unfortunately, iOS/iPadOS control and limit notifications in a way that Android does not. I have about 30 cameras running and my Android devices update/notify as expected, but my iPhone and iPads do not. Unfortunately, this seems to be an Apple “thing”.

    (FB page manager is from minutes to hours late notifying me of messages on the Spartan FB page. If FB can’t notify timely, I’m not sure who can.)
