Flash issue
-
That’s very odd. It should flash before it takes photos because it has to meter the light, but the longest video it can take is 10 seconds, and that starts 2 seconds after the camera takes a photo. Maximum time the flash should be on should be 15 to 20 seconds.
With a 2 shot burst, the camera has to take both photos and then send both photos before it can take the next two photos, which would explain the 90 seconds, but I’m not sure why the flash would stay on the whole time.
30 second delay is how much time the camera stays quiet between when it finishes sending a photo and when it can take the next.
We’re still working on getting all the documentation online but the Knowledge Base has a lot of useful information. Here’s an article on camera settings that you may find helpful. -
Sorry Ive been replying to the emails Ive been sent with your replies, not sure if anyone has even gotten them since theyre not posted here.
Ok so according to the Spartan app the firmware is up to date on both cameras. I tried defaulting them and ran all the default settings except I switched it to 2pic burst. I turned the cams on and grab my phone for the stopwatch app on it and walked by the cams but into the next room where I wouldnt continue to trip.them but could still see if the flash was on.
They both lit up and stayed lit up for roughly 1min 15sec and I actually got both pics sent to my phone before the flash turned off... I walked back out to see if it was only the 1st trigger after being turned on but nope same thing. For some reason instead of getting a white "flash" Im getting a white "flashlight" for over a minute solid before they go dark again. I cant see this working very well being a white flash cam, not to mention it has to eat up the batteries a lot faster being in "flashlight" mode instead of just a quick on and off flash -
You can do a manual update even though the cameras have the current firmware. I would also try a different SD card, as crazy as it sounds it might help. make sure it's a 32gb or smaller, class 10, 80mb/s or faster and full sized, not a micro in an adapter. Be sure to format the card in the camera.
Here's a link to do the manual update, it includes the updates and instructions.
