Best thing to do is turn encryption off on the camera settings in the app.

I did that and from what I can tell the encryption is turned off. Now I'm not getting pics. I'm gonna let it sit for a couple days and if it doesnt pan out I think I'm going to go another route

They did. It was pending for about 12 hours to do the update. Now I have encryption off. It hasn't taken a pic. And I cant see the ones that it did take.

The settings changes and other requests stay pending until the camera checks in sending either a photo or a status report. You won't be able to view the previous pics, they don't just unlock when that encryption is turned off but future photos should be viewable.

So how does one use this encryption tool? Because it seems like its kind of a useless feature if it doesnt work

I've never been able to get it to work, although I haven't put much effort into trying. Maybe if you sent an email to inside tech they could help you with it. For me I just want the pics in the app and easy to see, don't want to have to decrypt them once they arrive.
