Camera not working

I changed batteries in my camera , now nothing comes up on the viewer , I switch to camera mode the green led flashes but no pictures . I asked for a status report and update over 24 hours ago with nothing but pending

  Those requests will stay pending until the camera checks in sending a picture or status report. I would try a different SD card if you have one.

  Would that effect the viewer screen also?

  Yes, SD cards can cause all kinds of issues, I've even seen it keep cameras from turning on at all.
