Can you post a picture from each in the current location? Are both set to the same sensitivity?

They are both set to “High” sensitivity.

I would set them to normal and if the main target area is around that tree I would tilt the cameras up a little bit too.

I did a firmware update and that the frequency of pics has improved. Now I have a new issues. Seems like it’s not flashing during the transition between sunset and night & between night & sunrise. I’m getting dark, unviewable pics. Also get an occasional solid white pic. This is all on the same camera as previous issue. My other 4 Spartan cams are perfect.

Scratch that, it’s randomly not flashing even well after dark.  Is this a software issue or just send in for exchange?  Purchased in November.

I would try updating the firmware manually again, especially if it wasn't doing it before the update.

Same camera, new problem. First, it was sending all white or all black images since I took it out of the box. I’ve now done a 3rd firmware update and a module update. Haven’t had the white or black pic since. But I put in new Energizer Lithium batteries, which I run in all 5 of my Spartans, and it showed full battery(P5) for about 2 days and then went to dead battery(P0) in 1 hour. Continued to take pictures for 1 day and then stopped at 5:04pm yesterday. Did not do the nightly status update and sent no pics. All 80lbs of corn that I spread is gone but not 1 pic. I walked up to it this morning to remove it from the woods and then it took a pic and suddenly battery was full again. This camera has something wrong that is beyond my skill set to repair. How do I exchange? Purchased in November.

Are you running solar or any kind of external battery? The Ghost battery indicator can be a little confusing, it's best to just look at the actual voltage numbers. If you are getting a lot of pictures in a short amount of time it can cause the internal battery to get very low and shut things down until it charges back up. Do you have power save turned on in the camera settings in the app?

Thanks for the response. I’m not running solar or external battery. Everything is set up exactly as my other Ghost and it’s been flawless for months, even when I got 167 pics in one night. This camera had this problem on a day that I got 5 pics. Currently, Power Saving is turn on, on both of my Ghosts. This shutdown happened during a light usage day/ time of day.

I’m just confused why out of 2 Ghosts, both with same batteries and both with all settings identical, the older one is a reliable workhorse and the new one has been one set of problems after another. Even when they were set up on the same tree at the same time “old reliable” took significantly more pics and with zero errors or black pics. New one is giving me a fit and I’ve only got a few days left of deer season. Really don’t like having to tromp back into the woods this frequently to fix things and spook my buck. Just want it to work.

At this point, your best bet is to contact tech support, support@spartancamera.com or 770-582-0004. The office is closed for the holiday weekend but will open at 9 AM Eastern Monday. It won’t hurt to email now.

Thanks! I formatted the SD card, put in fresh batteries, updated module again, and updated firmware again. This time I did it all from my house where the signal is better. So far(fingers crossed), everything is working well! Appreciate the advice!
